About Me...

Hi! Let me introduce myself, I'm Janelle. I am mature, responsible and reliable. I am Mummy to 4 beautiful boys (between the ages of 5-15), and wife to a filmmaker husband. We are also foster carers for newborn babies too. So we are often a family of 7! I have spent my life dedicated to babies, children and families.

I studied the Diploma and Certificate 3 in Children's Services, and the Certificate 3 in Community Services (Child Protection, Statutory Supervision & Juvenile Justice). I've worked in the Children's Services Industry for the last 20+ years, including working in multiple long day care centres across Perth, and managing two Child Care Centres. I've worked looking after Family Day Care Educators and In Home Carers, working at a statewide Family Day Care Scheme and worked with Child Australia to facilitate the inclusion of children with additional needs. I have extensive experience with newborns, and also experience with premature babies, babies on home oxygen, children with Cerebral Palsy and children with type 1 diabeties. For the last 11 years I've also worked part-time in my own small business as a Newborn and Family Photographer.

Over the years I came to realise the need for quality Childcare Educators to work in families homes for the times when regular quality Childcare is either unavailable or not suitable. 

I have experience with children of all ages, but most of my professional experience has been with newborns, babies and young children.

More than just babysitting...

Yes, I call myself a babysitter, but really it's much more than that - babysitting is more than just 'watching' your little ones. I am a trained and dedicated Child Educator, I am passionate about helping children learn, develop and grow to reach their full potential. Having fun together, doing crafts, playing games, singing nursery rhymes, reading stories... play based learning is all part of the job!  

I want your children to enjoy their time with me, so you can relax and enjoy your night out, or get to work knowing your precious little ones are being cared for by the very best.

With my extensive experience with newborns I'm available as a Mother's help in the first weeks of Motherhood, to be an extra set of hands, to let you sleep or even just be there to offer encouraging advice and support during the transition periodwith a new baby.

If I am personally not available, I will try my best to find you an available babysitter.

The Cost...

My casual babysitting rate is $35 per hour.

(Please note: There is a minimum 3 hour charge for all babysitting jobs.)

The Babysitter...

Your children are my priority, so if you contact The Babysitter Perth, you are speaking to me, Janelle and I will be your babysitter. If I am unavailable,I also work with a number of local babysitting agencies, so in the event I am unavailable I can refer you to other babysitters who may be able to help you out.
